Hirota/Nguyen Wedding
So Mike went ahead and got himself married, and invited Prota to perform at the wedding! Mike and Diana met each other in Asayake Taiko, so it goes without saying that taiko has been an integral part of their relationship.
As you can see, Mike couldn't resist hopping on a drum to join in the performance. However, as a special surprise, Mike's mother, Teri (aka. taikomom of taikomom's bachi bags) also took a Matsuri solo in a unique twist on the "mother-son dance."
Finally, as an encore, Prota performed "Kodomo Zakari," a piece that Diana and Mike wrote together during their time in Asayake Taiko. Prota debuted their special guest performers, Sarah Arakaki and Diana Nguy-, sorry, Diana Hirota, for a finale that brought the house down.
